AI, SI & What Comes Next
A simple, beginner-friendly guide to evolving terminology in AI.
What is SI?
SI stands for Super Intelligence, a term increasingly being discussed alongside AI. You may also see it written as "Superintelligence" or "Artificial Super Intelligence" (ASI). Unlike AI — which is already part of everyday tools you can use today — SI describes a possible future stage of technology, and experts are still debating what it would even mean.
AI Today
Real tools you can use right now — writing, research, image generation, automation, and more. This is what AI Kickstart 101 focuses on: understanding and actually using today's AI.
SI Tomorrow
An emerging idea more than a product. The terminology is still evolving, so the smartest move is to build strong AI skills today and stay informed as the technology and its language develop.
Why terminology keeps changing
Terminology around advanced intelligence technologies continues to evolve — new capabilities arrive with new names, and older terms shift in meaning. AI Kickstart 101 will keep helping you discover useful AI tools while explaining new terminology and developments as they emerge, so you're never left guessing what a term means.
